Jonathan Palmiotti is a Musical Theater trained singer and actor in the New York borough of Queens. His passion for Musical Theater started as a high school Junior. Jonathan attended Queensborough Community College for both Music and Theatre Performance. After taking on the role of Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors at QCC, Jonathan was chosen as a KCACTF Musical Theater Initiative nominee to compete in Massachusetts for the Richard Maltby Junior Award. After rceiving an A.S. degree from Queensborough Community College in Theatre and Music Performance, Jonathan continued his studies and earned his B.F.A degree in Musical Theater performance at Long Island University-C.W. Post.
Jonathan has had the pleasure of studying with several professionals that have developed his skills as both a teacher and an actor. They include acting professor Dave Hugo (Broadway: Les Miserables) and Javier Muñoz (Broadway: In the Heights; Off Broadway: Hamilton), and vocal coaches Rob Gallagher (Broadway: Les Miserables, South Pacific), Michelle Mallardi (Broadway: Beauty and the Beast) and Lisa Franklin. Jonathan uses the skills that he has learned from them as well as his own experiences to create his own technique for teaching his students.
Jonathan instructs students in piano, acting and vocal training techniques. Since recently graduating from C.W. Post, Jonathan’s goal has been to continue to nurture the emerging talent of future musical theater driven students as well as his vocal and piano students, to lead them on their way to successful careers while continuing to pursue a successful acting career of his own. Still having a strong interest in performance, he plans to consistently attend professional auditions now that he is out of college!
